New Family Photo...kinda

TA DUH!  We have a new family photo!

Ok, so it's not stellar. Let me tell you why. We took this photo OUTSIDE on Thanksgiving Day. If you live around here, you're probably thinking...."Wait, wasn't Thanksgiving Day REALLY cold, like 27 degrees cold, and the wind was blowing like a banshee??" Ah, yes, that was the day. Did I mention we took this OUT-SIDE?? Yeah.

My whole family (extended family, like brother and sisters and parents) all wore black or gray shirts and we took family pictures. It was SUPPOSED to be warm.  At least that's what we prayed for. Instead we got the coldest day of the year, I believe. So, you'll just have to put up with us looking like we're freezing our tushes off...and those lovely gray fleece pants on Baby....those were supposed to get pushed up under her cute gray polka dotted dress, but as you can see, she was enjoying the process so much I decided it wasn't worth it.

Bright side? We're all in one photo for once! Less than stellar or not, a photo with us ALL in it is still priceless in my book!

The fog is clearing!

Can't believe it has been June since I last updated here. Sorry, Denise! (Although in my defense you are probably the ONLY person in the world who checks my blog regularly.) For those of you who don't know, I have a good reason for being "out of touch" for a while:

Sweet Baby Girl is now just over 3 months old and is finally deciding life outside the womb isn't so bad. I know, I know, she looks so peaceful here. Yeah, I have to photograph these moments because they are fleeting...  I'm not saying she has been AWFUL, but certainly not the easiest baby in the world, or even the easiest baby I've had. I guess as my friend Sheri says, God has a way of letting you know when you're "done". This is certainly the last baby that's coming from MY body...unless God intervenes, of course.
Anyway, the last 3 months have been a whirlwind, emotionally and physically.  This whirlwind has left my house disorganized and my kids unruly. Time to reset....everything. So I've been working, little by little, to get everything back in order....
